Join your backcountry guide, Jeff Mitchell, to explore some of the bigger lines in the RMR backcountry.Â
- Comfortable riding on a double-black run on a North American resort
- 20+ days of backcountry riding a variety of conditions and terrain, including powder, variable, and marginal conditions.
- AST 1 or other equivalent.Â
- Routefinding in steeper and higher consequence terrain.
- Safe group riding skills.
- How to send it big and safe in the RMR slackcountry.
What's included
- A full day of guided riding in the slackcountry of Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
- Your first beer/drink back at Revelation lodge for debrief and Après.
- A swag bag with goodies from Arc'teryx Kelowna and our event partners.
What's Not (and required):
- Lift ticket, though we do have access to lift tickets at 50% off for those without a season's pass.
- Backcountry ski/board set-up.
- Avalanche safety kit, including beacon, shovel, and probe.
- Food while you are out on the hill.
Jeff is an IFMGA Mountain Guide and has been skiing, climbing, and biking in Revelstoke since 2005. Originally from the East Coast of Canada, he followed his dreams to the mountains and worked hard to build an all-mountain skillset. As a board member with Open Mountains Project, Jeff works to foster an inclusive mountain culture, helping with backcountry programs to include ski touring, split-boarding, climbing, and mountaineering.
